Classic Banana dessert recipe made with Rum Tropic Spiced Rum. Submitted by Jeffery Johnson.
Ingredients:
¼ cup butter ⅔ cup dark brown sugar 3 ½ tablespoons Rum Tropic Spiced Rum 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 3 bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and crosswise ¼ cup coarsely chopped walnuts 1 pint of vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
Melt butter in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, Rum Tropic Spiced Rum, vanilla, and cinnamon and bring to a low boil. Place bananas and walnuts in the pan. Cook until bananas have softened, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve at once over vanilla ice cream.
Based on an Old Fashioned but made with rum instead of bourbon.
Ingredients:
4 oz a Rum Tropic Spirit 5 dashes Orange Bitters
Instructions:
Pour a Rum Tropic Spirit into a 7 oz rocks glass full of ice (Spiced Rum, Hot Honey Rum, and Hooked Spiced Honey Rum work well!). Add 5 dashes of Orange Bitters and stir. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.
